This work is a watercolour and gouache painting. It's a still life with fruits. The center of the composition is occupied by a blue bowl with a long leg and quite a flat plate. On it there are various fruits (grapes, apples and nuts). The whole composition is shown on an empty, creamy background. The painting gives the impression of unfinished, but it is the intended effect.

The composition is a rectangular arranged vertically. Verticality is strengthened with a leg from the bowl. This verticality is broken by the horizontal plate from the bowl fruit. Warm colors dominates. The colouristic is bright.

The painting is signed lower right "W.G.MONK." by blue paint.

Framed in a wooden frame with passe-partout and glazed.
