Rebecca Lardner was born in Swanage to a gamekeeper and post mistress and spent her childhood roaming the glorious Dorset countryside, happiest amongst nature or keenly observing the local people and places that have fascinated her ever since.
Her works are influenced by the south west and its coastline, depicting life by the sea in her signature palette of subtle blues and greens. Her award-winning artwork crystallises a moment in the life of a busy fishing village in her enchanting and highly recognisable style.
