Olga Mischkine (1910 - 1985) was the daughter of the portraitist, Alexandre Mischkind; she preferred to use her surname in the Russian, feminised version. She was born on 2nd April 1910, in Roubaix, France. Mischkine was initaially a film actress of some renown, using the the pseudonym of Olga Lord.This original painting is in gouache on board. Mischkine has used a strong colours to render this view of palm tree lined, Mediterrain port full of pleasure boats. Signed 'Mischkine' in black painted on the lower right. Image size 85 x 69cm. The painting is framed in wooden, gilden, craved frame with a fabric pasee-partout.
